Toronto – Etienne Brule Park

Old Mill Toronto Trees and icy river

I took a walk near Etienne Brule Park by Old Mill hotel and spa, located in the west end of Toronto.

The park features a tennis court and a great hiking trail.  Surrounded by nature, you can almost forget that you’re in the city.  It’s a great place to walk your dog, go for a jog or ride your bike.

During the Spring and Fall, you can watch the salmon swim upstream. In the summer, it’s a popular spot for picnics, BBQs and fly fishing. Although, I wouldn’t recommend eating anything caught from the river.

Etienne Brule Park is one of my favourite spots.  I highly recommend stopping by the park in the warmer months.

  1. I love Humber Bay but I’ve never been to Etienne Brule Park – is it near Old Mill subway station? I fancy a little trip there this weekend!

    1. Hi Caitlin. The park is about a 5 minute walk from Old Mill subway station. It’s very icy and slippery in the park at the moment.

      1. Hi! That’s ideal – I might wait until summer then…!
