I have been taking photographs from a close perspective lately. I saw a broken fence and felt that this would make an interesting photograph.
I chose to shoot from a close viewpoint because I wanted the focus of the photo to be the splintered wood. I converted the image to black & white to place more emphasis on the shape, detail and texture of the wood.
I adjusted the contrast and levels with Adobe Photoshop to add more depth to the photo.
