Hope

Life is about choices. There are so many questions and options in life that it can be hard to know what the right choice is. I took this photo because the candles remind me of hope. As we make decisions, we always hope that we are making the right one.

Strong

I took this photograph because the hydro tower looked like it had a strong & confident attitude.
-
Run

I saw a dog running on the beach and he looked so happy. It’s the little things in life that generally cause the most happiness.
-
The Path

I took this photo in September 2013 when I was visiting the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. I was drawn to the long path that the tourists were walking on.
-
Standing Tall

I was interested by the proud looking trees standing together at the side of the road.
-
Patience

I took this photograph last summer. I’m not so patiently waiting for the return of summer and all the fun that it brings. I was drawn to the corn because of the contrast between the vibrant, youthful colour and its life stage.
-
Blur

I was pulling focus when I was taking photos last summer. In this photograph I was trying to make the background blurry with the focus on the twigs in the bottom left area. I find that the almost entirely blurred photograph kind of works better than with more elements in focus.
-
Rustic

I was interested by the veins in the leaf. I reduced the saturation in this photo because I wanted it to be a bit murky.
-
Country Driving

I was interested by the car driving on the peaceful country road. I’ve been really drawn to monochrome photography lately because the world looks differently without colour.
-
Confusing Beauty

I converted this photo into b&w to focus more on the shapes and outlines. I also flipped it so that the perspective was a bit different.

Swoosh

I saw a basketball net when I was wandering around. I was interested by the different shapes and felt that monochrome would work better than colour.
