Dawn of a New Day
I took this photo before the sun had started to rise. I love the dreamy colours of the morning light. The soft pink and purple hues make the sky even more beautiful.
I forced myself to get up super early last Friday to take photos at dawn. The light is so soft and beautiful in the morning. It really makes the shot so special. As I wandered around, I saw some ducks hanging out together in a pond. I started taking photos of them and really lucked…
I took this photo near dusk when the light was softer. I really love the golden hue of the light hitting the plant.
Sun & Flower
I was intrigued by the shapes, shadows and colours of the flower.
Girl at Dusk
I took this photo because I was interested by the woman watching the sunset. I like that you only see her silhouette as it adds more mystery to this shot.
Reflections at Dusk
I took this photo close to when the sun was setting. I was interested by the contrast of nature set against construction cranes.
I was walking around Grenadier Pond in High Park near the end of the day. I try to take photos near dawn or dusk because the light at those times is better and softer. I took this photo because I thought that the way the light on the plants was beautiful.
I was interested by the silhouette of the plants. The out of focus shadows add a mystical, ethereal vibe to the shot.
I took this photo of my friend’s dog during a hike last summer. He looks so serious and seems to be thinking, “Awww man, you guys! You said there’d be food!”
I was drawn to the contrast of the soft feather sitting in the hard rocks.
I was interested by the contrast of the strong shape of the rocks against the soft colours of the sun setting.
I was intrigued by the petal-less flower. It’s interesting to see that even without its petals, the flower is still quite lovely to look at.
